Quality management for the best performance

MAHLE’s current quality strategy is based on optimum production facilities as well as the “Total Quality Management” system introduced at the beginning of the nineties. This philosophy entails flexibility, conscientiousness, and responsibility on the part of each individual employee, in each development and production phase, in all projects with suppliers, customers, and partners. The guideline “Optimum fulfillment of customer expectations” and the motto “Together we can become even better” are an apt complement to the guiding principle of Ernst Mahle.

Uniformly high quality standards
MAHLE project management determines potential sources of error during the very first development phases and thus prevents the need for expensive rectification of defects. The consistent development controlling process monitors the time schedule and assesses the feasibility of the defined project objectives. To be able to ensure the best quality, MAHLE insists that suppliers and international production plants using automated, state-of-the art production and testing technologies adhere to strict quality standards. It also incorporates them in projects at an early stage. All MAHLE locations are certified according to the international quality standards of the automotive industry, e.g., ISO TS 16949.

The “Zero error strategy” at MAHLE takes quality measures one step further. This has been devised with the aim of achieving a completely fault-free supply to customers on a permanent basis.
